Stop Trying to Do 100 Abdominal Exercises and Take a Step Back

Have you tried 100 abdominal exercises, but with no results? You are not alone. It is frustrating, the more you do the more fleeting is this reality. What if I told you that by doing less you could get more results. Yes, there is hope simply by making some changes. You need to learn more about all of the factors that are involved in getting ripped abs. What do you need to learn?

Consume Food for Ripped Abs

Are you eating the right foods? Are you drinking the right beverages? While carbohydrates are an important part of our diet, too many many be keeping the fat on. Also if you are drinking beer, you may want to sacrifice it or only drink it occasionally. Beer (alcohol) is packed with carbs. We’ve all heard of the beer belly, right? I earned mine in college. Eat enough protein to feed your muscles. Starving yourself will actually cause your body to break down muscle for energy. You do not want this!. You want to burn fat!

Workout

It is very important to build muscles. Specifically, you must put them under tension in order to cause them to burn calories afterward. Muscles take up less space than fat therefore you should not worry about looking bigger (ladies). Strength training can do wonders, if done correctly, to melt away fat. It is also important to do cardio, but not too much. Many think that spending a lot of time on the treadmill is the best thing. Recently, however, there has been an emphasis on interval training at least 3 times per week. Fat burning should be the goal in order to get ripped abs. Food, cardio, and muscle training will accomplish this goal.

Don’t Overdo It

Too much exercise can tire your body and its ability to rebuild itself. You might even burn valuable muscle if you overdo it. This is why exercising every day may not be the best thing for you. Our body needs time to recover and rebuild. Do you get enough sleep? This could be one area in which you are not doing well. Lack of sleep may be keeping you from getting those ripped abs. Seven to 9 hours should be enough. Each person has different sleep requirements.
