Visiting Central America is at least once is a must. Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua have a lot to offer. But during our summer vacations, June to August, it’s a rainy season in Central America and not an ideal time to travel.
Going to Argentina during our summer is not good unless you plan to ski down there, but Brazil is a different story. While it is winter there as well, the further north you go from Rio the hotter it gets the closer you get to the equator. Other than the very south of Brazil, it’s a perfect time to tour Brazil and taste the mixture of races, sounds and colors, the stunning sunny beaches, with the most famous ones, the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches of Rio de Janeiro to tempt you.
But if you prefer something more exotic, why not visit Asia, as long as you will be prepared for the heat. It will rain a lot in Eastern China as well as in South East Asia, nevertheless how about a tour of Myanmar? Fantastic destinations to see are Bagan and Mandalay, though if you dare to venture out west to Sittwe on the coast of Rakhine, you must take a boat upriver to mysterious Mrauk U.
If Africa is more up to your liking and you have not been to Egypt yet, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel and rest of Egypt is a perfect choice, although hot it will be. Of course it is an unforgettable experience to visit the West Bank, Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens, Deir Al Madina tombs, Colossi of Memnon, Ramseum temple and then perhaps sail down the Nile.
Then there is Europe, may be Iceland, Corsica in France, as well as Greece. No matter where you’ll go in Europe, whether to Athens, Paris, Costa Brava, Mykonos or Santorini, you’ll bound to discover your perfect hideaway, a chateau or a castle!
Start planning, summer is not that far away!
